Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible, including both the Old and New Testament, is a divine revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit, thus rendering them trustworthy and solely authoritative in faith and practice.
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ; His virgin birth, His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious and atoning death; His resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His personal return to earth in power and glory.
  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace, through faith, are we saved.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are not saved unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is equipped to live a godly life.
  • We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are sacraments (ordinances) to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are not to be regarded as means of salvation.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
  • We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
